Rosalia

Rosalia Vila aka Rosalia is the Spanish flamenco and pop performer. As a teenager, she has worked both in traditional and popular music. Her singing interests have broadened to include hip-hop and soul. Her voice is said by no less an artist than the flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp however with a bit of bite similar to those of the past. El Mal Querer was her significant commercial breakthrough and critical success in the year 2018. After Los Angeles garnered her attention and a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist and it was a top hit on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums and she was awarded a Grammy. La Fama featuring Weeknd debuted in 2021. Motomami was her third album that was full-length. The album featured collaborations with fellow artists and producers, including Cory Henry. This set was released on March 20, 2022 following a Saturday Night Live performance featuring the hit song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the only solo performer for the first time ever on the program. Along with taking home three other Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia, she also became the first female to be awarded the Latin Album of the Year twice.
