Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico was born to a music-loving family. She spent most of her early years listening to classical music, boleros from the past, classic ranchero or romantic tunes, as well old classical pieces. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. Ana started learning how to play and sing at an early age together with her mom. The formal singing instruction at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In her early career, she was spent performing with various chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. When she moved in America, United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she relocated to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer of classical Latin American music at private performances. Ana is involved in a variety of local initiatives in both teaching and performer because of her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana was a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of the traditional Latin American songs and hopes to encourage other people to follow in her footsteps.
